Visa to Indonesia – There are two basic types of visas suitable for tourists, which differ according to the length of the planned visit to the country. After the coronavirus closure of the country, citizens of the Czech and Slovak Republics are required to have a VISA ON ARRIVAL (VOA) when visiting the country within 30 days, with the option of extending it by another 30 days. Newly, VOA can be arranged online . For a long-term stay, it is possible to obtain a SECOND HOME VISA , which allows a stay of up to 10 years.
- Visa (VOA) to Bali and Indonesia is for a fee of 500,000 IDR (approx. $35) .
- The visa can be extended once for an additional 30 days (60 days in total) for an additional fee of IDR 500,000.
- A valid passport of min. 6 months from the date of planned entry into the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, at least 3 free pages in the passport, return ticket.

Citizens of the Czech Republic and Slovakia need a visa to enter Indonesia within 30 days of their stay , especially for the purpose of travel, urgent work or business meetings, volunteering, etc.
- These visas can be extended once for another 30 days.
- If the permitted length of stay is exceeded, there is an obligation to pay relatively high fines.
- You will always need a passport valid for min. 6 months from entering the country.

If you want to stay longer than 30 days, don’t leave it to the last minute to extend your Bali visa. Fines for each day of overstaying your visa are tripled from 2019 to 1,000,000 rupiah for each day you overstay.
VOA – Bali Visa on Arrival
Passengers from the Czech and Slovak Republics are obliged to apply for the so-called Visa On Arrival (VOA) , which can be conveniently obtained online or at some airports or seaports in Indonesia, regardless of the purpose of your visit (business, tourism, social and cultural).

- The VOA fee is 500,000 IDR ( 35 USD ).
- The validity of the applicant’s passport must be at least 6 months from the date of entry into the territory of Indonesia.
- You must have a secured return ticket or ticket for the given date.
- The maximum length of stay is 30 days with the possibility of one extension.
You can extend the VOA once for an additional 30 days for a fee. You can therefore stay on the territory of Indonesia for a total of 60 days with these visas .

Do not leave visa arrangements to the last minute . Although the process is not particularly difficult, it requires your attention. It is necessary to check all your travel documents and make sure that your passport has the required validity period for traveling to Indonesia. If not, it may take several weeks to process the new passport.
Visa in Indonesia for stays longer than half a year
It is now possible to apply for a Second Home Visa . With this visa, foreigners can stay in Indonesia for 5 to 10 years and perform various activities, e.g. investment activities. The required documents are the following:
