Weather in Bali
Bali is located in the tropics and the weather on the island can be divided into two seasons. The dry season, when it hardly rains at all and the temperature can rise to 35 °C, and the rainy season, when you can expect more frequent showers and temperatures are around 27 °C.
- In Bali, the dry season is from the end of March to the end of November.
- The rainy season is from mid-March, it rains occasionally, mostly at night.
Bali weather — vacation date
Visiting Bali is possible all year round. The ideal period is the period from mid-March to June and then September to December, when Bali is sunny, warm and has a minimum of rainfall. July and August are the most visited months with high hotel occupancy and higher prices.
In the months from January to mid-March, you can expect heavy night showers and occasional daytime storms, the air is heavier and the humidity is higher.
OUR TIP
Don’t worry and visit Bali in the rainy season. It sometimes rains in the evening, but the weather is pleasant, without wind.
Bali weather – minimum and maximum temperatures
The average temperature at higher altitudes in Bali (volcanic region) is around 23 °C. Temperatures in coastal areas are around 30 °C. If you will be moving in the mountainous interior, expect that the evenings are cooler there and a long-sleeved T-shirt might come in handy – the only warm clothing you will need during your Bali holiday.
Spring and autumn, the best time
Spring is sunny and everything is green in Bali. The main tourist season has not yet started and the prices are acceptable, there are also not that many tourists on the island. In September and October, the high season ends and Bali becomes quiet. The islanders “have earned” and the prices are more favorable again.
- IF YOU MOSTLY WANT TO GET A TAN, CHOOSE THE NUSA DUA AREA WITH WHITE SAND
- IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD SNORKELING LOCATION, GO TO NUSA LEMBONGAN. LESS BLOWING IN SPRING AND FALL.
OUR TIP
The best time to vacation in Bali is the beginning of March and April until May, when there are fewer people on the island, the temperatures are very pleasant and nature is still green.
Clothing in Bali
Clothes, including branded ones, are cheaper than here, so it is worth packing only the essentials and buying the rest on the spot. You will make the most of light and airy clothes, because the humidity in Bali is significantly higher than here. If you are going to do something active during your vacation, such as hiking or climbing a volcano – adapt your clothes to it – sturdy shoes, a jacket or a functional T-shirt. Don’t forget to pack sunglasses and a hat. After your arrival, gradually expose yourself to the sun. Don’t worry about coming home without a tan, the sun is enough for everyone.
